Privacy Statement
ConnectWise MCP Connector · Last updated 6 June 2026
This statement explains what data the ConnectWise MCP Connector (the “Service”), operated by MicroAge Manitoba, collects and how it is used. It covers only the connector itself; ConnectWise Manage and Microsoft handle data under their own privacy terms.
Information we process
- Identity — when you sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, the Service receives your Entra object ID, user principal name (email), and display name to identify you and write audit records.
- ConnectWise API credentials — the ConnectWise company ID, public key, and private key you register, your resolved ConnectWise member identifier and security-role ID, and the date you registered them. These are used to call ConnectWise Manage on your behalf.
- Usage / audit records — for each ConnectWise tool invocation we record who made the call, which tool was invoked, the (secret-redacted) parameters, a timestamp, the result status, and timing. We also log key registration, revocation, and security events. This supports security, troubleshooting, and accountability.
How your credentials are protected
- Your ConnectWise keys are stored encrypted in Microsoft Azure Key Vault, associated with your Entra account.
- Keys are fetched per request and are never written to logs, error messages, responses, or AI model context. Audit logs are passed through a secret-redaction filter, and private keys are never logged.
- The connector provides read-only access and keeps no cache of ConnectWise data — each request goes directly to ConnectWise and the data is returned to you, not retained by the connector.
How we use the information
We use the information solely to operate the Service: to authenticate you, to call ConnectWise Manage using your own credentials and security role, and to maintain audit and security logs. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose unrelated to operating the connector.
The AI assistant you connect receives your results
The Service answers requests from the AI assistant or Model Context Protocol (MCP) client you connect it to — for example Claude or ChatGPT. The ConnectWise data returned by a tool call is transmitted to that client so it can answer you. Those clients are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies, and MicroAge does not control how a connected assistant subsequently stores or processes the data it receives. Connect only assistants you are authorized to use with ConnectWise data.
Where data is processed
The Service runs in MicroAge Manitoba’s Microsoft Azure environment. Sign-in is handled by Microsoft Entra ID, credentials are stored in Azure Key Vault, and ConnectWise data is retrieved from MicroAge’s ConnectWise Manage system. Aside from the AI assistant you connect (described above), we do not share your data with third parties other than these service providers acting on our behalf.
Retention and your choices
- You can remove your stored ConnectWise keys at any time at /register-keys (“Revoke My Keys”). Once revoked, the connector can no longer access ConnectWise on your behalf.
- Audit and security logs are retained for operational and security purposes in accordance with MicroAge Manitoba’s records-retention practices.
